Updated May 21, 2026

The settings are identical to Outlook — only the menu names differ.

iPhone (built-in Mail app)

  1. Settings → MailAccountsAdd Account.
  2. Pick OtherAdd Mail Account.
  3. Fill in Name, Email and Password, tap Next.
  4. Choose IMAP.
  5. Incoming + outgoing host: mail.yourdomain.com. Username: full email address. Password: mailbox password.
  6. Tap Save. If it asks about SSL, say Yes.

Android (Gmail app)

  1. Open Gmail → tap your profile picture → Add another account.
  2. Pick Other.
  3. Enter the email address, tap NextPersonal (IMAP).
  4. Enter the password.
  5. Incoming server: mail.yourdomain.com, port 993, SSL/TLS.
  6. Outgoing server: same host, port 465, SSL/TLS, authentication required.
  7. Finish — sync interval and signature are personal preference.

Tip — battery

Push email on phones drains battery. Set sync interval to Every 15 minutes if that matters.
